The listening
So, I just watched this new film everyone's been buzzing about, and, well, here's the thing: I admire it, but I don't love it. It's got all the right ingredients—great cast, stunning visuals, and a soundtrack that's all but unforgettable.
But, if I'm being honest, there's something missing. It's like, you know, when you have all the pieces to a puzzle, but they don't quite fit together.
The director, who's known for his previous work, really tried to push boundaries, and in some ways, he succeeded. The film's themes are ambitious, tackling everything from identity to technology, but it feels like it's biting off more than it can chew.
I mean, officially, it's a thriller, but it plays out more like a slow burn drama. And don't get me wrong, there are moments of brilliance, especially in the performances—two of the actors deliver twice as much emotion as you'd expect.
Still, by the end, I was left wanting more, like a meal that's filling but not satisfying.
