Dear Mr. Smith,

I am writing to inquire about the return of my security deposit for the apartment at 123 Main Street. My lease ended on September 30, 2023, and I have not yet received the deposit of $1,200. The apartment was left in excellent condition, as confirmed during the final inspection on September 28, 2023.

According to our lease agreement, the deposit should have been returned within 14 days after the lease ended. It has now been over two weeks, and I have not received any communication regarding this matter.
