The reading

Last Saturday, I decided to host a dinner party for my family. I planned everything perfectly, or so I thought. The guests were supposed to arrive at 6 PM, and I had a delicious three-course meal planned. But as soon as I opened the oven, I found out that the roast chicken was still raw! I couldn't believe it. I had no choice but to deal with it quickly.

I called my daughter, Lisa, and asked her to pick up some pizzas on her way. Meanwhile, I whipped up a quick salad and some garlic bread. When Lisa arrived with the pizzas, everyone laughed and said it was the best surprise ever. We all sat around the table, enjoying the unexpected feast. My grandson, Jake, even said, 'Grandma, this is the best dinner party ever!' I guess sometimes things going wrong can turn out just right.

Now, whenever we talk about that dinner, everyone remembers it fondly. We laugh about the raw chicken and how we turned it into a pizza party. It taught me that it's not always about the food; it's about the company and the memories we create together.
