Model 1: The Day It Went Wrong

Dear Emily,

Last Friday, I was supposed to fly to Chicago for a conference. I had booked my flight weeks in advance, and everything seemed perfect. However, when I arrived at the airport, I realized I had left my passport at home. I panicked because I knew I couldn't board the plane without it.

I called my friend, Sarah, who fortunately lived nearby. She agreed to pick up my passport and bring it to me. While waiting, I tried to stay calm by having a coffee. Unfortunately, traffic was terrible, and Sarah got stuck. I was worried because the boarding time was approaching fast.

Finally, Sarah arrived with my passport just 20 minutes before takeoff. I rushed through security and made it to the gate just as they were closing it. It was a huge relief to be on that plane and not miss the conference.
