The pronoun rule
With a separable phrasal verb, a pronoun object must sit between the verb and the particle.
Turn it off. not Turn off it.
Throw them away. not Throw away them.
Put it on. not Put on it.

Nouns may sit after or in the middle. Pronouns only sit in the middle.
