Separable phrasal verbs: put the coat on, or put on the coat.

Separable

With a noun object, both orders are correct:

Put on your coat.  ·  Put your coat on.
Turn off the radio.  ·  Turn the radio off.

More you already know

A long object

If the object is a long phrase, keep the phrasal verb together and put the object at the end:

Put off the meeting with the new client.
