IELTS Speaking with AI Practice

Part 2 and Part 3 — how they work

Cue cards, one minute to note, then a deeper discussion.

Page 3 / 4

Last free page. The rest of the course is a one-time $12.99.

The long turn

You receive a cue card. One minute to prepare. Then speak for up to about two minutes. The examiner may ask one short follow-up.

Notes

Words, not sentences. Names, a year, two verbs, one feeling. You need to glance, not read.

A simple structure

  1. Introduction
  2. Background
  3. Details
  4. Personal experience
  5. Feeling or opinion
  6. A short close

If you run out

Return to an unused bullet. Compare then and now. Say what you would do differently.

When a word disappears

  • What I mean is…
  • Another way to put it is…
  • I can’t remember the exact word, but…

Question types

  • Opinion — Why do you think…?
  • Cause / effect — What causes…? What effect does…?
  • Comparison — How is this different from…?
  • Prediction — Will this change in the future?

A framework

Position, explanation, example, consequence. After this page the next rooms are live practice with Rex — the same talking screen as the job interview course. He speaks British English, as the test does.

Check what you understood
